Losing Team T-shirts Donated to Less Fortunate

Monday 05th of February 2007 06:26:43 PM

Losing Team T-shirts Donated to Less FortunateSince T-Shirts are printed for both teams during the Superbowl, the last game during the American football season, there will be many t-shirts that will not be used once a winner is declared. This amounts to a lot of shirts. In an effort to help others, the losing team’s Tees will be sent to Africa by the World Vision organization.

While there are many cynics out there who do not see the gift as a charitable donation, but as a way to dispose of merchandise that is not sellable, helping those that are unfortunate in any form is considered a good deed. In the past, the t-shirts were destroyed or locked away for years. But now, the Tees will be sent where they are needed the most.

On Monday, the Tees will be packed up and shipped to a location in Pennsylvania, USA. From there, they will be shipped to African nations where clothing is difficult to come by. World Vision is an organization that helps children and their families overcome poverty by providing clothing, medicine, and other needs. The organization works with impoverished nations all over the world.

Bo donating the Super bowl losing team T-Shirts, the NFL is helping in many ways by helping others, recycling, and teaching others to do the same.
