Beckham Causing a Stir in US Sports Stores

Hoards of David Beckham fans in the United States rushed to local sports stores last night to queue up to buy T-Shirts that bear his name, just after the news was confirmed that he had signed up for LA Galaxy. Yesterday David Beckham confirmed that he had signed the one hundred and twenty eight million pound contract to play with Los Angeles Galaxy football club. The Sun reported that many fans were queuing up outside the team’s Home Depot Centre stadium in Carson, California. The kit is yellow and green with Beckham imprinted on the back. His deal with the team ensures that he earns cash from his image rights and this means he is likely to make several million pounds from T-Shirt sales.

Beckham could well be in the states earlier than August as Real Madrid have revealed that they will no longer being using him to play and instead he will just be practising. So LA Galaxy now have the opportunity to buy the remaining months that are left on his contract in Spain. Victoria has been busy looking at houses around Los Angeles that would be suitable for the couple and their three children. A source has revealed that: “She absolutely loves Lionel Richie’s old place and who wouldn’t? The views over Los Angeles are spectacular.” This Spanish styled one-storey mansion, which is located in the Hollywood Hills, was built in 1979. This home was also previously owned by the actress Billie Piper and her ex-husband Chris Evans. There are rumours that David Beckham had misled Real Madrid and agreed a deal with Galaxy before the winter transfer window had opened. Real Madrid feels that they cannot count on Beckham anymore.
